John manages to take out a few terrorists before being recaptured, and Rothman leaves John and Avery behind with a broken vial of smallpox. It is fake, but the entire situation is a trap to obtain the smallpox vaccine to sell it as a biological weapon. Doe realizes this, and they manage to capture Rothman just in time.
