The kids follow the lucky Spinda to a flower garden, where they are greeted by the owner of the Spinda—Claire's fiancé, Kain. Brock's heart is broken. Team Rocket appears in a gigantic Spinda robot capable of repelling all Spinda attacks. Brock sends out all his Pokémon, and his Forretress destroys the robot using Explosion. Ash and his friends wish Claire and Kain all the best and head off to Petalburg.
