Banri convinces Kōko to attend, along with Mitsuo and Nijigen, but Kōko and Mitsuo end up arguing because of Chinami, which culminates in Mitsuo confessing to Chinami, who rejects him. On the way home, Banri decides to end his friendship with Kōko due to her persistent attraction to Mitsuo, and despite Kōko's objections, he leaves her. The next day, Linda notices the tense atmosphere between the two, but when she asks about it, Banri confronts her for not mentioning that they knew each other beforehand. Linda explains that she didn't say anything out of fear of confusing him and pushing him away, while also admitting that she feels guilty for contributing to Banri's accident by not responding to his confession sooner. After that, Kōko meets Banri to find out what happened, but he runs away due to the revelation that Linda might have shared her feelings years ago and how her answer could have affected his life. Before she can wonder if having the same accident could allow them to repeat things, Kōko manages to catch up with Banri and tells him not to leave her, confessing that she loves him.
